What to wear for your Mother’s Day weekend
Mother’s Day outfits for our mums-to-be:
Before bub arrives, you and your partner should make the most of every opportunity for romantic dates because they become a lot harder once the new addition to the family arrives! For this reason, your first Mother’s Day (yes, we start counting while bub is still in your tummy!) is the perfect date-night opportunity. For date-night we like to go for maternity dresses that are glamorous and hug the bump in all the right places. Depending on how formal the location, we would go for the Casima Long Sleeve Maternity Dress in Green Foil, the Suri Long Sleeve Maternity Dress in Navy Crepe Print, or our Claire Off-Shoulder Dress in Black Foil.
For expectant mothers with little ones already in tow:
When you already have a small tribe, Mother’s Day most likely entails quality family time with Dad and the kids. We’re thinking a trip to the park and hopefully a yummy brunch date, so we’d be wearing something warm and comfortable. This Mother’s Day you’ll want something that looks smart but allows you to run around after the kids if need be! We’d suggest rugging up in our Frost Maternity Vest, layered over our fashionable but comfortable Coated Skinny Maternity Jeans. Pair this with our modern take on the classic white shirt, the Monica Maternity Shirt.
What to wear on Mother’s Day as a nursing mum:
If this is your first Mother’s Day with a nursing bub then it is a particularly special one for you! Having a nursing baby in tow is no reason not to be spoilt to a lovely brunch at your local café. Wear one of our many beautiful breast-feeding styles. Our favourite look of the Autumn / Winter 19 season is layering our cosy Monki Balloon Sleeve Maternity Jumper over our Honor Long Sleeve Feeding Top. The crop length of the Monki make it perfect for still having access to the breast-feeding opening. Style this with a high waisted a-line skirt such as our Rio Midi Skirt.
